An eau de parfum created in the dark and born to shine
Dans le Noir ? has developed a unique process to create perfumes, free from any visual influence.
By collaborating with Suzy le Helley, a perfumer from the Symrise group, and sensory experts from Dans le Noir ?, the process emphasizes the valuable contributions of blind or partially sighted individuals.
"Like a sketch, the idea formed in my mind. I gradually perfected it, refining the lines to craft a sandalwood fragrance designed for the night."

Deprived of traditional visual supports
The project takes on a whole new dimension: each word finds its importance, particular attention is paid to textures, smells and flavors.
Reinforcing her intuitive side, Suzy Le Helley naturally projects herself into an intense, unexplored sensory universe, guided by people who embody and inhabit this darkness. A work that is both personal for the perfumer, but also collective through the contributions of people with disabilities with a keen olfactory sense that gives a particular relief to this perfume.
At each stage of the perfume design, an innovative exchange of expertise took place, thanks to the unique sensory experience of the Dans le Noir ? team. Notably, Tiffany Kendziolka, a visually impaired perfume expert and ISIPCA graduate, has been leading the olfactory workshops at the “Espace Sensoriel” in Paris for five years. Her expertise played a key role in this collaborative process.
Genetically different
Dans le Noir?'s mission is to enable people with visual impairments to express their full potential. With this project, the brand allows its experts to position themselves further upstream in the value creation chain, involving difference to make it a strength. Independent and autonomous, without financial investors or public or charitable aid, the Dans le Noir? brand employs nearly 50% of people with disabilities and has expanded to around ten countries.
Objectively different
For the first time in the perfume industry, this collaboration between a top perfumer from Symrise and the sensory experts at Dans le Noir ?, a global leader in dark experiences, showcases the skills and talents of visually impaired individuals. Through a sensory-focused approach and a unique creative process, they’ve developed an innovative product: the first true night eau de parfum.

Freeing yourself from marketing dictates

The difference in added value
“Another goal is to have the value of diversity and inclusion recognized in the creation process. The experts at Dans le Noir ?, especially those who are visually impaired or blind, made a significant and innovative contribution to this project—something rarely seen in the luxury world. Through this expertise, Dans le Noir ? defines a new, mysterious realm of olfactory expression, one largely unexplored by major perfume brands, especially when it comes to night fragrances.”
